Another offering from this long-established brand.
This is a quick review of a product I have previously looked at in more detail.
Used with: Rapira Swedish Supersteel (4th shave)
I threw some water into the container to cover the surface of the puck briefly, as much to combat the granules lying there as anything else. Then I loaded for thirty seconds using my synthetic brush. I wasn’t sure I had enough loaded and the coating for my second pass was a bit thin, which worried me further, but I turned out to have plenty. Slickness wasn’t all that impressive but I only picked up a single nick. Aside from a bit of roughness in my usual trouble-spots, my neck was pretty good. No problems WTG on my face. ATG there was some resistance, bordering on roughness in a few places. Post shave feel was pretty average. I got the faintest whiff of a scent at the start of the shave, but didn’t pick up anything else. I am recovering from a cold though, which probably didn’t help. A good shave.
This experience seemed to fall in-line with the previous offering I had tried. If anything, as a one-off use it was slightly better.
I got a good end result, even if the slickness and post shave feel didn’t blow me away. Nicks were minimal and I was pleased with the finish.
Again, fragrance was non-existent. It’s a soap that gets the job done, but is a little disappointing and certainly won’t trouble the greats. A solid if uninspiring product.
