Edwin Jagger Aloe Vera Premium Shaving Cream

A variant of their 99% natural shave cream.

Another quick review of a variation.

I emptied the sample pot, some onto my synthetic brush, some on my stubble. I needed a little water but lather soon blossomed and provided a good coating. I had plenty for my usual routine. Slickness felt good and I only picked up one nick. There was roughness in the usual trouble-spots on my neck, but the rest was pretty good. No problems WTG on my face. ATG there was patches of resistance, bordering on roughness in a few places. Post shave feel was pretty average, neither especially soft and a little dry. The fragrance is very subtle, but I was able to pick it up throughout. It’s pleasant and inoffensive. A good shave.

This seems to live up to standard of the other EJ creams I’ve tried. It was easy to get a good lather, offered plenty of slickness and gave good end results (this shave wasn’t actually as good as some I’d had with this sample).

The Aloe Vera, aside from providing a soothing experience, brings a nice aroma too. So while this isn’t something you’d want to smell off all day, it’s nice while you work.

It’s not the cheapest cream out there, but it’s very affordable and that makes it easy to recommend.
