This is described as an all-purpose skin tonic, for pre- and post-shave.
I got this in my sample pack along with some skin food (yet to try). I wasn’t entirely sure about it as it simply resembles water in both colour and consistency.
Reading the ingredients, it’s essentially water, fragrance and some other chemicals (including alcohol).
It seemed reasonable enough. A little goes a long way. It’s quickly absorbed and certainly not greasy, neither does it leave anything on the skin (what is there to leave?).
Not sure about its soothing qualities.
The fragrance is potent though, I can definitely say that. It’s not unpleasant, but not something to use if you have aftershave you wish to be smelt, as this will compete. It’s quite floral (some say rose, but I think it’s a bit more complex than that), as you’d expect with something described as coral.
I haven’t tried using it as a pre-shave, but as it doesn’t leave any residue I wouldn’t have though it would be great.
I’m not sure how much it did to rehydrate my skin after a shave, it is predominantly water, so there’s that. If you like the scent then it could be a cheap aftershave. For a post-shave remedy it’s a little pricey (£10 for 100ml) compared to some perfectly good post-shave balms, though far from the most expensive out there. It’ll interfere if you do want to use an actual aftershave though. Probably one to skip.
