Another big brand balm.
I bought this having seen a shave vlogger use it. Apparently birch sap is the next big thing in skin care.
The packaging is okay, a plastic bottle with a flip top lid. Not quite up to the other Men Expert product I tried but not bad. It’s the same size all the way up and very wide, which can make judging what you’ve extracted hard to see.
It’s a very liquid balm, closer to the Nivea offering than the other Men Expert balm I used. That means it goes on easily and is absorbed quickly without leaving a greasy residue.
It didn’t feel as moisturising as some other balms, but did the job well enough and left my skin feeling soft. It helps that it’s 0% alcohol too.
There’s a slight fragrance to it, similar to others in this range. It’s light and pleasant, enough for you to register when you apply but it quickly dies away if you don’t like it and it won’t interfere with any colognes.
The birch sap is supposed to help with any irritation. I had a few instances of this and it did seem to help, but I’m not sure it was any better than other balms I’ve tried.
A pretty good product for your post shave, even better if you can get it on sale.
