A classic scent inspired by Italian barbershops.
Another quick review of something I have looked at in greater detail previously.
Used with: The Bluebeards Revenge blades (4th shave)
I left the sample dry and loaded with my synthetic brush. Lather was no problem, I had tons and great quality. Slickness didn’t feel great but I only picked up one nick, a weeper, but that may have been re-opening a previous wound. My neck was okay, nowhere was particularly close, I had roughness in my usual trouble-spots and some mild irritation. No problems WTG on my face. ATG was very good too, with only minor resistance. Nowhere quite made it to BBS though. Post shave feel wasn’t great, very dry and not particularly soft. The fragrance is very light to my nose, with no powerful or deep accents. I don’t recall it during the shave. All-in-all a good shave though.
As ever, hard to judge on one shave, but it seemed to be split. My neck didn’t feel great but my face was very good.
I didn’t do my usual post-shave routine, which may explain why the finish felt a little lacking.
The fragrance, described as musk, bergamot, orange, oakmoss, patchouli and geranium, lacked any depth for me. It’s pleasant enough but I didn’t get the heady, earthy tones required to balance it and provide weight.
